We found a fun, practical solution to a family’s space problems in Clapham. They didn’t want to move but they needed a study/office.
Renting locally wasn’t an option so the idea of the pod – an external structure in the garden – was born. By rehousing the existing study outside of the house, a space was freed up for a much-needed bedroom inside it.
It had a little footpath from the kitchen, was built out of cedar and had a very thin copper roof, which looked like a figurative sentinel in the garden. It had views, it even had its own window sill!
